I am a frequent customer of Lafa, and I had the best experience this evening. The young boy who works there told me they were out of regular falafel and offered the street corn falafel. I asked if it was gluten free which he confirmed, and he asked if I had celiac disease. I informed him I had a wheat allergy and he made sure I knew the falafel was gluten free and that they use a separate basket to cook the chic peas and falafel in. He told me his mother has celiac so he takes it seriously. I was already so comforted that he cared to provide me with the best service and food for my health needs. He proceeded to inform me of the potential cross contaminations for safety, and what really topped it off was he told me that they use the hummus spoon to put hummus on the pita wraps, so he went out of his way to get a brand new hummus out, with a brand new spoon. I am so grateful!! THANK YOU!

Very tasty food, especially for counter service! I always head there for lunch whenever I am in New Hartford. I love creating my own bowls and their choice of toppings are awesome (marinated cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, crispy chickpeas, feta, etc) and their vinaigrette is yummy. Love Lafa!

LaFa is always fresh and delicious. The quality and portion size is a fantastic value. The restaurant is always clean and always busy and the staff is always friendly! Best lunch in Utica!

I've gotten takeout from Lafa twice this year when I've been in the area to visit my mom. My first order-ahead visit was great - it took a little bit but the order was correct and delicious, and the salad was huge! This evening I ordered ahead again and waited almost 25 minutes for my salad and saj. When I got home, I realized they didn't add the Lafa vinaigrette (kind of important on a salad...) or crispy chickpeas I ordered. The dressing situation especially is disappointing and made me wish I'd just eaten at home. Won't be ordering ahead again, and will probably just stick with my other go-tos in the area.

Lafas is the bomb! Sorry im old school, perhaps the word to use these days would be fire, bussin, or slaps, but nonetheless, it's amazing and one of my favorite places. I always order pick up. Fresh ingredients and the flavors pop my taste buds wide open!! I added a photo of my grain bowl, with the hot honey falafel.
